Kerry F. Bueche is a Catholic Lay-Evangelist and the President and Founder of "Voice of the Lord Ministries, Inc.", a federal non-profit organization based in Houma, Louisiana. The oldest of ten children, Kerry was born and raised in Houma. He attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA majoring in pre-law. He later transferred to Natchitoches Vo-Tech School where he earned his certification as a Watchmaker and Jeweler. Kerry and his wife Jan then moved back to Houma where they opened a watch and jewelry repair shop, Bueche's Jewelry. The repair shop later evolved into a retail store, and it was after eight years there that Kerry felt the Lord calling him into full-time ministry in 1982. After much prayer and spiritual guidance, Kerry answered this call which involved him "giving" the jewelry store to his father who was Kerry's minor business partner at the time. Having purchased property for the plans for a new store building in Houma and the plans of opening five chain stores throughout Louisiana, it was all set aside to answer God's call upon his life. This was a tremendous step of faith in God's providence since by this time, Kerry and Jan had three children and the store was their sole means of support.
Bishop Warren Boudreaux of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux gave Kerry his seal to preach, teach, and heal, recognizing him as an evangelist. Kerry started with home prayer meetings, eventually moving into the local church with weekly services with up to six hundred people in attendance. Voice of the Lord Ministries was then founded, and Kerry began holding services in nursing homes, prison ministry, youth and adult revivals. Bishop Boudreaux then directed Kerry to a local Southern Baptist minister for training in radio evangelization. Kerry also has utilized the newspaper to reach God’s people as a columnist featuring “God’s Word” in the Houma Courier and the Thibodaux Comet and hosted television programs on HTV in Houma as well as programming in New Orleans. Kerry has traveled throughout the Northeast, Midwest and South.
Kerry was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Stage IV over thirty years ago and prostate just a couple years ago. He has received numerous treatments of chemotherapy and radiation over the years and with the prayers of family and friends and through God’s intervention and mercy, he has survived and is still well and able to answer his calling. Kerry has also survived a pulmonary embolism and a head injury with amnesia. These experiences have increased Kerry’s compassion and concern for others and have brought forth a deeper commitment to serving Jesus Christ, no matter the circumstances.
Kerry and Jan have four children and eleven grandchildren which are the light of their lives. Kerry currently holds weekly Bible studies and healing services at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Houma along with services and retreats throughout the state. Kerry has served with the Full Gospel Business Men Assoc. and as a state advisor for Women’s Aglow. He also served on the Board of Directors for “Hope Restored for Life, Inc.” a pro-life pregnancy center in Houma. He has been involved in the Charismatic Renewal since 1975 and currently serves on the Steering Committee in the Houma-Thibodaux Diocese. Kerry operates in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and is known for his prophetic, healing and deliverance ministry. Kerry’s dynamic and motivational approach to preaching and teaching Scripture is practical and applicable in these modern times in society. His desire is to bring people into a deeper relationship with Jesus and experience the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit with a zeal and passion for evangelization.
