CELEBRATE FREEDOM

Kerry’s speech from the “We The People” Bayou Community’s Celebration of Freedom event. It is time to stop playing church and be church. You are the minute men of the Revolution using what is at your disposal and with your talents, treasure, and time in the midst of the battle you come as you are for whose you are.

THE MYSTERY OF THAT WHICH IS GOD

"If you are correct and there is no God and neither a judgment, I have no regrets. I have lived a full and rewarding life. If on the other hand, you are wrong and I am correct, then you have lost everything and will have a life of eternal regret! "If the dead are not raised, 'Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!'" (1 Cor 15:32)

SOCIAL CHRISTIANITY

Have we become so desensitized to sin that it is now acceptable? Society has many faces in America with the freedom to express yourself in conformity with law. As Christians, we are called to be witnesses in this world for truth and justice, however, love of this world is often misconstrued with love of God.

TRUE GLORY

We have often heard the Scripture, 'What good is to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of your soul." We all seek, to some degree, certain satisfaction in accomplishments we have undertaken. Within Christianity, we are called to "cooperation" not competitiveness! In attaining the attention for admiration from others as well as self-edification, we must look at our heart's condition; am I in a state of humility or that of pride? "Pride comes before a fall, but with humility and fear of the Lord is honor, riches and a long life." (Pro 22:4)

TRUST: GOD & HUMAN FRAILTY

"Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a barren bush in the desert that enjoys no change of season but stands in a lava waste, a salt and empty earth." By contrast: "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is the Lord. He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream: It fears not the heat when it comes, its leaves stay green; in the year of drought, it shows no distress but still bears fruit." (Jer 17:5-8)

THE GOSPEL OF MODERN SOCIETY

In Deuteronomy 30:15, God gives His Chosen People a choice, the option to exercising their free-will. "Here, then, I have today set before you life and prosperity, death and doom. If you obey the commandments of the Lord, your God, which I enjoin on you today, loving Him, and walking in his ways, and keeping his commandments, statutes and decrees, you will live and grow numerous, and the Lord, your God, will bless you in the land you are entering to occupy. If, however, you turn away your hearts and will not listen, but are led astray and adore and serve other gods, I tell you now that you will certainly perish." Continuing, "I call heaven and earth today to witness against you: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse."

WHO CRUCIFIED THE CHRIST

Demons may seduce and induce us to sin, but we possess free-will to accept or reject temptation from Adam to the last human person standing when Jesus returns. By giving up his own Son for our sins, God manifests that his plan for us is one of benevolent love, prior to any merit on our part: "In this is love, not that we loved God but he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins."

THE "TWO" GOLDEN RULES

"To whom much is given, much is required" is ignored by the desire of self-preservation and advancement along with tainted consciences. A day of accountability stands before us, our bodies turned to dust and our souls presented before God for judgment.

 Discuss, Argue, Dispute

Why is it that, in many instances, discussions and arguments often lead to disputes. Voices raise, tempers flare, and with that, anger and hurt. As it is with human nature, it becomes a manner of who is right or wrong as feelings and emotions become involved with discussions. One must be aware of involving their personal feelings and emotions from disrupting the discussion into a full-blown dispute which becomes toxic and destructive.

If You Love Me…

If you love me should be obvious by behavior in speech, deed, and body language to anyone observing. The fact is that of you "say" you love me, it leaves me questioning sincerity and honesty in your dedication and commitment to the relationship. Where is the evidence of love? So it is with God!

Zombies Are Among Us

Most people think of a zombie as a corpse said to be revived by witchcraft, a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought, which feeds on human flesh. Informal it is a person who is or appears lifeless, apathetic, or completely unresponsive to their surroundings. "He who is without love is among the 'living dead!'" (1 John 3:14)

TIME WARP

Why allow yesterday to so influence us today. Life's experiences are to be a lesson and reflection in our life journey. God forgives us of our sins, faults, and shortcomings, yet we find it difficult to forgive ourselves and others and even God for our hurt and wounds.

MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS OR WHAT!

We often have heard the expression, “Mind your own business” or “Who are you to judge me?” Yet, according to Scripture, your business is mine in a certain sense and I am not the one judging you, Scripture is! I am but the instrument of God’s love in helping you recognize your situation out of concern for your eternal soul. My insights should be in conformity with charity and empathy in recognition of correction for your benefit not woe.
